DRAFT FY 2027 UNIFIED PLANNING WORK PROGRAM (UPWP): The Northwest Arkansas Regional Planning Commission (NWARPC) is soliciting public comment on the DRAFT Northwest Arkansas Regional Transportation Study (NARTS) Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP), which outlines the planning activities of the NWARPC from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027.
PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: The public comment period for the draft FY2027 UPWP will be held from Monday, April 6, 2026, through Monday, April 20, 2026. Written comments can be sent to [email protected]. APPROVAL PROCESS: The RPC/Policy Committee will consider the draft UPWP and public comments at the regularly scheduled meeting in April. Meeting information can be found at www.nwarpc.org/events/.
Unified Planning Work Program
The Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) describes planning and management activities conducted by NWARPC. It illustrates the relationship between adopted goals, objectives, program activities, and provides the program activities and products. The program outlines the scope of activities to be undertaken by NWARPC in each fiscal year which begins on July 1 and ends June 30.
The Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) was approved by the RPC/Policy Committee on April 23, 2025.
