NWARPC will begin the process of updating the existing 2040 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) to the 2045 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (2045 MTP) in the fall of 2019. The 2045 MTP will serve as the 5-year regional transportation plan for the Northwest Arkansas metropolitan transportation planning area. The plan will provide a long range\, comprehensive look at the region’s transportation needs and implementation strategies including\, but not limited to highways\, transit\, and bicycle and pedestrian facilities. In addition\, we will feature the ongoing 10-year Transit Development Plan update on transit route alignments and opportunities for service delivery as part of the Connect Northwest Arkansas transit development plan.
